Melissa Ser, Ph.D.
Writing Specialist
Melissa Ser earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in English from the University of Rochester, where she taught Freshman Composition and lectured on both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
She was also an English instructor at the undergraduate level at the Rochester Institute of Technology. At the high school level, Dr. Ser has taught AP English Language, AP English Literature, and general English since 2005. While in graduate school, she worked as a research assistant editing scholarly texts.

Dr. Ser earned her undergraduate degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from Florida State University. As an undergraduate, she won First Place in the Florida Collegiate Honors Council Writing Awards, a state-wide competition.
